Dr. Atmananda S. Hegde is an accomplished Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 17 years of experience specializing in Arthroplasty, Arthroscopy, and Complex Trauma Management. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics at Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Mangalore, where he is also actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dr. Hegde holds an MS (Orthopaedics) from KIMS, Hubli, MBBS from JJMMC, Davangere, and MRCSEd from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He has published more than 45 peer-reviewed research papers in reputed national and international journals, covering topics such as trauma, arthroscopy, joint replacement, and musculoskeletal infections. With his extensive surgical experience, academic excellence, and dedication to advancing orthopaedic care, Dr. Hegde continues to contribute significantly to both clinical practice and orthopaedic education.
